What you have to do is get a USB flash drive that has at least 120 MB of free space, connect to your computer, then go to the official PlayStation website. After that, find the link that takes you to the last update of the system (I will post my response for your convenience) and download to your computer. After that, create a file on the USB flash drive called "PS3", and another within that named "UPDATE" (yes, you have to write everything in capital letters) and save the update data to that folder system.
