Everyone is always asking how I can do more pull-ups?
I always laugh because it's not really a secret, the Army has had the answer for years.
When attended the United States Army Airborne School in 1993 one of the requirements is that you need to complete at least five pull-ups. At that time my maximum in my pull-ups was about eight, so I had no problem doing the minimum. When I left the school could Jump to Max at 20 pull-ups after only three weeks!
To improve the pull-ups you have to do push-ups three times a day every day. You can not expect to go to gym three times a week and improve on your pull-ups. The way the army had to be drawn is that in front of each room is lifting bars. Before going to eat you need to conduct four fifty-seven pull-ups, at least. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was going to make a series of 5-8 pull-ups everyday.
At the end of three weeks I had the opportunity to max out 20 push-ups! You can incorporate this training into your lifestyle be to do a pull-up bar in your backyard or a show in your workplace. Pull-ups are one of the best exercises because it gives you strength and functional flexibility.
